MUSCAT — The Omani-Russian Businessmen Council held its first meeting at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) yesterday.
The Omani side was led by Salim bin Said Al Ghattami, OCCI president, while the Russian side was led by its council head.
Al Ghattami said that the establishment of this council will enhance cooperation and coordination between businessmen and private establishments in the Sultanate and the Russian Federation.
He further said that the OCCI is keen to cooperate with the Russian side and invited Russian businessmen and investors to invest in the Sultanate. He spoke about the incentives and investor-friendly laws and legislations adopted by the Sultanate.
The head of the Russian side in the council praised the excellent bilateral relations, saying all parties concerned with economic work in Russia are keen to develop cooperation and partnership with their counterparts in the Sultanate.
The meeting discussed topics relating to developing bilateral cooperation and economic and investment coordination. — ONA
