On November 24, 2010 Director of the Russian-Arab Business Council Tatiana Gvilava and Deputy Director of RABC Vladislav Lutsenko participated in a reception organized in honor of the 20th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During this event which took place at MGIMO-University Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Moscow, the heads of RABC met with the H. E. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Russian Federation, Ali Hassan Ahmed Jaafar. Director of the Council Tatiana Gvilava congratulated the Ambassador on this remarkable date in the history of bilateral relations and expressed hope for further strengthening of the cooperation between the two friendly countries. She reaffirmed the importance of the bilateral Russian-Saudi cooperation in all spheres and noted the positive dynamics of growth in trade turnover between Russia and Saudi Arabia.
The initiative of RABC to organize the "Russian Business Week" in Saudi Arabia in March 2011, timing it to the Jeddah Economic Forum, was also announced at the meeting. The idea has received support and approval of the Saudi side, that expressed readiness to render necessary assistance to the Russian delegates intending to participate in the upcoming event.
