The Embassy of Algeria in Moscow hosted a meeting between H.E. Smail Cherguï, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and a number of representatives of the Russian business circles that are planning to take part in the forthcoming Russian-Algerian Business Forum and the Second Russian Exhibition in Algiers. The meeting was attended by some of the Russian-Arab Business Council member companies, as well as companies and institutions that consider entering Algerian markets or have their business interests there.
The meeting covered the economic situation in Algeria, which, as confirmed by Mr. Cherguï remains a stable economy willing to have Russian investors enter its markets. As major infrastructure developments are being carried out in Algeria within the framework of 287 billion USD-worth government programs, Russian companies are expected to take active part in a number of key projects on Algerian territory where people are still grateful for the assistance that Russia has provided for its development during the 2nd half of the 20th century.
