THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 60TH DAMASCUS INTERNATIONAL FAIR UNDER THE MOTTO “THE GLORY OF THE EAST STARTS FROM THE DAMASCUS’’

The representative of the President of the SAR, Prime Minister Imad Khamis opened the 60th Damascus International Exhibition under the motto "The Glory of the East begins with Damascus." The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba, officials from 48 Arab and other foreign countries, representatives of numerous companies, trade and industry.

In his speech, Khamis stressed that the Damascus Exhibition is one of the most important windows through which the Syrian government is trying to establish contacts with fraternal and friendly countries, their governments, companies, institutions and businessmen in order to familiarize them with the investment opportunities available in Syria today and establish direct channels of communication between the Syrian economic community and their partners in the participating countries in order to promote national products and products of each of them.

The Prime Minister confirmed the desire of the Syrian leadership to create favorable conditions for launching a national dialogue that will unite all Syrians and help liberate every inch of the territory from the grip of terrorism, in parallel with serious economic steps that will turn the country into a large-scale construction, relying on national cadres and resources, one side, and to support allies and friends around the world, on the other.

The head of government recalled that from the first day of the war Syria was open to initiatives, political decisions and national reconciliation, while resolutely insisting on confronting terrorism and suppressing any attempts to undermine its unity and sovereignty. The door before the possibility of reconciliation was not closed in any area. The Syrian government calls on all citizens who were forced to leave the country by war circumstances to return to participate effectively and faithfully in its restoration.

According to Khamis, according to the order of Bashshar Al-Assad, the government acts on many fronts, including restoring industrial and agricultural production, solving problems that impede the powerful beginning of domestic and foreign investment activities. Joint agreements that are signed with friendly and allied countries in the economic and investment spheres are aimed at activating Syrian exports and meeting the country's needs for modern technologies.

Khamis pointed out that the government is working to strengthen political, economic and cultural ties with the entire freedom-loving world. This course is conducted by Syria from the birth of the Correctional Movement in 1970. The Damascus International Exhibition will become the new "Silk Road" connecting the East and West, spreading the culture and civilization of the region around the world.

In his speech, the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba said that holding the Damascus International Exhibition, which is the oldest and largest in the region, shows that Syria has become safe, and this is confirmed by the participation of delegations from various countries of the world.

"After the recognition of the sovereignty of Abkhazia by the Syrian Arab Republic, we are proud to be here as friends of the Syrian people and as a friendly country," the Abkhaz leader said, wishing the exhibition success, and the Syrian people good and prosperity.
