The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is a unique event in the world of business and economics, which takes places every year in Russia’s cultural capital – St. Petersburg. Over the last 20 years, the Forum has become a leading global platform for members of the business community to meet and discuss the key economic issues facing the world, emerging markets, and Russia.
Participants in SPIEF include heads of state, representatives from the world of business, political and public figures, and opinion leaders; people who shape the global economy and determine its outline in the long term. SPIEF 2018 brought together more than 17,000 participants from 143 countries.
Over the years among the SPIEF participants were:
Dirk Ahlborn * Esko Tapani Aho * Teruo Asada * Hans-Paul Bürkner * Ben van Beurden * André Calantzopoulos * Ronnie Chan * Arnaud Engandji * Ivan Glasenberg * Joe Kaeser * Kundapur Vaman Kamath * Henry Kissinger * Jack Ma * Klaus Mangold * Frédéric Oudéa * Patrick Pouyanné * Marco Tronchetti Provera * J. Paul Rollinson * Prashant S. Ruia * Gerhard Schröder * Klaus Martin Schwab * Francesco Starace
SPIEF events are created with the involvement of leading Russian and international experts. Between 2007 and 2018, the Forum programme was developed in collaboration with experts from 133 countries.
In 2019 the Forum will be held from 6 to 8 June.
Ensuring that participants attending the Forum enjoy a comfortable stay is one of our most important objectives. We hope that SPIEF will offer an environment conducive to the open and impartial exchange of ideas, and to a search for mutually beneficial solutions and answers to the most pressing economic issues facing the Russian, regional, and global economies.
