127TH SESSION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE UNION OF CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE OF THE ARAB COUNTRIES.

The work of the 127th session of the Council of the Union of Chambers of Commerce of the Arab countries, which is held in Algeria for the first time, was opened yesterday at the site of the El Aurassi hotel, during which various participants reiterated the need to establish partnership relations between the countries of the region in order to achieve competitiveness in the international market.

This meeting was an excellent opportunity to discuss the possibilities of Arab economic integration, which, as is known, is not so easy to achieve in light of the unstable situation in the Middle East region. Nevertheless, this issue remains on the agenda and does not lose its relevance for the representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Arab States.

As for Algeria itself, it paid special attention to demonstrating his investment attractiveness as part of the policy of economic diversification, which is currently being carried out by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Algeria.

Other topics discussed at the meeting included issues such as strengthening the role of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry and strengthening the private sector of the economy in the Arab world. The successful experience of some Arab states in this area was noted. These are the states of the Persian Gulf and Egypt, which provide an important market position to representatives of the private sector of the economy. Recently, the strengthening of the private sector has also been observed in Algeria.

Among the tasks outlined by the General Union of Arab Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Agriculture, we should note the support of the efforts of governments aimed at integration and coordination between Arab economies, the promotion of inter-Arab trade, the study of areas and opportunities for joint Arab investments.

The 127th session of the General Union of Arab Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Algiers is timed to coincide with the opening of the 51th International Exhibition in Algiers. Representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Arab States organized a visit to the national pavilions of the Arab delegations to familiarize themselves with the latest achievements of the Algerian industry.
