Meeting at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman with Counsellor Mahfoodh Abdullah Mohamed Al Jardani

Tatiana Gvilava, Director of the Russian-Arab Business Council, President of the All-Russian Nonprofit Organization “Businesswomen”, held a meeting at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman with Counsellor Mahfoodh Abdullah Mohamed Al Jardani and expressed condolences on the death after the long illness of the Sultan of Oman Qaboos bin Said Al Said on January 10, 2020.

Qaboos bin Said Al Said was the longest-serving Sultan for 5o years. He acceded to the throne following a successful coup against his father. In his first year in power, Qaboos abolished slavery. Oman was a poorly developed country, and Qaboos modernized it using oil revenues. Now the country is the most stable state in the Arab world, compared even with Singapore and Norway.
