Moscow – May, 17.05. The Sudanese-Russian Businessmen Council held its second joint meeting at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation yesterday. The Russian side was led by Mrs. T.Gvilava, Director of the Russian-Arab Business Council, and consisted of the representatives of the following Russian companies: JSC “Ilyushin”, JSC “Stroytransgaz”, CBOSS Association, and JSC "Foreign trade company "Neftegazexport". The Sudanese side was led by its council head Mr. Hashim Hago Ibrahim.
During the meeting the parties acknowledged the mutual determination to increase their trade and economic potential on all levels including small and medium business.
Mr. H.Hago Ibrahim welcomed the representatives of the Russian companies and called for increasing their presence in the Sudanese market. He said that the establishment of direct communication channels between the economic operators in our countries is very important for exchanging the information on a mutual basis.
The parties agreed to hold their third joint meeting in Saint Petersburg in September, 2006 during the Sixth Session of the Russian Arab Business Council.
