The issues of cooperation between Russia and Algeria in the field of industry were discussed at a meeting with the Minister of Industry and Mining of the Algerian People's Democratic Republic, Yousef Yousfi. The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov stressed that the successful experience of Russia's participation in the 50th anniversary International Fair «FIA-2017» gave a noticeable impulse to the development of cooperation between the two countries.
"Following the results of the exhibition, the Russian-Algerian projects in the field of metallurgy, the localization of the production of agricultural machinery, the supply of chemical protection of plants, and a number of other directions have begun to be worked on and we are ready to provide our companies with all-round support," the Minister said.
An example is bilateral trade, which increased by 81% in the four months of 2018 compared to the same period last year. The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia stressed that it is necessary to strive for a multiple increase in the volumes of mutual trade and diversification of its structure.
