International Exhibition "Arabia-EXPO 2010" takes place in Moscow

s9_exopen.jpgMoscow’s largest exhibition center “Crocus Expo” for the second time hosted the International Exhibition “Arabia-EXPO 2010” on June 7-9, 2010. The exhibition consisted of national pavilions of Arab countries, including Bahrain, Algeria, Tunisia, Palestine, Morocco, Jordan, as well as stands of Russian companies interested in entering the Arab markets – the Arzamas Plant of Utility Engineering (JSC KOMMASH), Uralvagonzavod (Ural Car Building Works), Transgidrostroy, VAO Intourist, Orgenergostroy and others. The list of participants also included companies from Finland, Slovenia, and Ukraine. The exhibition embraced different areas of cooperation of mutual interest.

The exhibition was backed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Russian-Arab Business Council, the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Arab League, the General Union of Arab Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Embassies and diplomatic missions of the Russian Federation in the Arab countries.

roundtable.jpgThe Arabia-EXPO 2010 became a meeting platform for businessmen from Russia, Europe and the Arab world, optimized for the establishment of contacts and partnerships, organization of b2b meetings and negotiations, promotion of products and services.

This year’s edition of Arabia-EXPO was also distinguished by its extensive business programme which included the Ninth Joint Session of the Russian-Arab Business Council, “Russia-the Arab World. Round 2” conference organized by Al-Jazeera’s Center of Research , the Russian TV Channel “Russia Today”, the Institute of Oriental Studies, and the Russian-Arab Business Council, as well as an assortment of round tables and workshops on relevant issues of cooperation.
