Iraq interested in Russian companies, products and tech. Russian-Iraqi Business Forum takes place in Moscow The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation hosted the Russian-Iraqi Business Forum on June 24. The event, organized by the Russian-Arab and Russian-Iraqi Business Councils under the support of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Embassy of Iraq in Moscow, was attended by a delegation of Iraqi businessmen and officials headed by the President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of Iraq Jaafar Hamadani.

Participants also discussed the role of the private sector and investment policy in the development of relations between the two countries, put forward a proposal on the organization of direct flights between the two countries and discussed ways of solving logistical problems. The forum included presentations of Russian companies interested in construction of factories and industrial facilities in Iraq.

Representatives of Russian companies already operating in Iraq, urged the participants to "show courage" in entering the market of the country, where the risks are compensated by excellent opportunities for foreign businesses.
