RABC Events Presented at the International Moscow Halal Expo

On June 14, 2013 the event calendar and business services offered by the Russian-Arab Business Council (RABC) were presented to the guests and participants of the "Islamic Finance and Investment Forum", which was organized as part of the business program of the Moscow Halal Expo, held at the All-Russian Exhibition Centre.

During his address to Russian and international Muslim business circles Vladislav Lutsenko, Deputy Director of the Council praised efforts of the organizers of the exhibition who work with RABC as partners and called for a more active participation of the event’s participants in the Council’s networking events. Therefore Mr. Lutsenko specifically mentioned the upcoming 40th International Baghdad Fair where the Council would be participating with a pavilion. This pavilion could be used to present Russian halal products, including wheat, meet, vegetables, fruits, canned food, floor and prepared foods, i.e. products that are in high demand on Iraqi markets - to Arab and Iraqi partners.

Tens of leading experts on Islamic finance and halal industry took part in the event, joined by more than 20 delegations from different countries.

According to preliminary data, during its first day the Moscow Halal Expo had more than 1,000 visitors. The Chairman of the Mufties Council of Russia Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin spoke at the opening cermony, calling the Muslim businessmen to abide by the religious regulations and participate in fair competition. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Government of Moscow, traditional religions, as well as foreign dignitaries and Risalat Holding company that became the platinum partner of the event.

Moscow Halal Expo was launched in June 2010 alongside the Second International Exhibition “Arabia-EXPO” (organized by RABC) in “Crocus Expo” Exhibition Center in Moscow, while organizers of both events acted as partners, providing participants and guests with free access to round table discussions, forums, and sessions.
