The negotiations were held within the framework of the formal business-mission to the Republic of Djibouti. Georgy Gvilava, Deputy CEO of "Arabia-EXPO", represented the Russian side.
The participants discussed the potential supply of provisions (corn, sunflower oil, flour, water, and other consumer products), projects concerning medical equipment and provision of the housing and communal services, as well as the cooperation in the field of consumer goods and textile industry. According to the negotiating parties, total volume of transactions is expected to pass the $200 mln mark.

All parties engaged showed keen interest in the collaboration, the nutrition sector was of special interest. In particular, President of the Assembly pointed out that during the Russia-Africa Forum, food quality in Russia was noted and he would want to have the goods represented on the local market.
